About
Pei Ying is a Consultant Paediatrician who is available to treat patients across the full spectrum of age groups from birth to adolescent. She works at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, MACCS Medical Group and Mitcham Private Hospital. Pei Ying is also a clinical tutor and examiner for medical students from Monash and Deakin Universities. She is trained in paediatric allergy, developmental and behavioural paediatrics, neonatology, acute and general paediatrics. She is also a research study doctor for the Probiotic and Peanut Oral Immunotherapy for treatment of peanut allergy trial (PPOIT) at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Pei Ying offers services to children in areas of:
- Paediatric Allergy – food allergy (including skin prick testing), anaphylaxis, antibiotic allergy, insect sting allergy, urticaria, eczema, allergic rhinitis, asthma.
- Newborn and Infants – unsettled babies, feeding, sleeping and growth issues.
- General Paediatrics – failure to thrive, headaches, abdominal pain, sleep issues, chronic cough, cervical lymphadenopathy, constipation, encopresis,
enuresis, etc. - Behaviour and Developmental Paediatrics – developmental delay, autism, ADHD, behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties.
Her spoken languages include English and Mandarin. Pei Ying is passionate about the well-being of her patients. As a mother of two children, she knows the importance of quality paediatric care and endeavours to provide the best possible care for her patients.
